hi,
got a g4 running os x 10.2 that we are toying with as a server.
as we have a spare ethernet card we were wondering if you can have one (ie, the built in ethernet) card doing incoming traffic and the second (in a pci slot) doing the outgoing.
i'm guessing this could speed things up as incoming and out going traffic is dealt with on separate channels?
can you do this with x??
While it might be possible it's probably not worth the trouble. Besides if you are connected to a switch then you would be operating full duplex, sending and receiving simultaneously at up to 200Mbps.
