I cannot comment on the actual guts of your computer, but I have a G4 Gigabyte dual Processor and the on-board ATA controller is a weak 66 Mhz. one. What a f*&%ing rip off! I paid BIG bucks for my G4 and they have the nerve to include such a crappy ATA controller. I bought an ATA 133 controller card and 2 ATA 100 drives as I didn't have the desire to buy 2 additional Ultra 160 SCSI's as their price is/was prohibitive.
