Hi Ron. Is it possible it's a DVD and not a CD? I've bought two Mac 
MDD's, an 867DP and a 1.25DP. The 867 came with CD install disks, the 
1.25 had a DVD, even though both had combo drives. Every now and then I 
put the DVD in the CDRW drive I added and of course it won't mount, 
initially leading me to think there's something wrong with the disk 
until I remember. Another thought is to check your settings for what 
you want your Mac to do when you insert disks into the drive. Look in 
System Preferences>CD's and DVD's. On second thought, this is only for 
blank disks so it shouldn't matter. G'luck. John
