Dear list, here is a problem I hope you can help me straighten out.
Unit: Beige G3/266 running Mac OS 9.1 with 128mbs of ram
Peripherals (all SCSI): Umax scanner ID#4; Iomega Jaz Drive ID#2; Yamaha CDRW
ID#6 Iomega Zip Drive ID#5. The harddrive ATA bus 0 and the internal CD-ROM
ATA bus 1 and both have ID#0.
There seem to be two problems and I am not certain as to whether or not they
are related.
#1) Whenever I have the CDRW on the unit locks up unless I turn all the other
peripherals off, even then it acts erratic.
#2) Tried to upgrade to system 9.2.2 via a universal 9.2.1 install CD and
then the 9.2.2 update, only to have the unit go spastic on me, ended up having
to go back to version 9.1
Help please.
Unit seems to work fine as long as its kept in a basic and simple profile.
