Thanks, but I'm trying to avoid VNC as testing in my LAN at home, has shown the Mac VNC server to be really really bad.... it's been 8 months though, maybe it's improved and still supports OS9 not X :) (lack of X is starting to crop up as an issue these days..)

You know, I've never fiddled with that application. I guess I'll have a look. I'm sending off a beige G3 to him sometime soon so I'm going to have to eiher spend a long time on the phone walking him thru moving his data over, or remotely do it SOMEhow.
