Greetings all,
I have a bootup issue with OS X, if I can run it by the OS X gurus:
The machine in question is a B+W/350 w/ 512mg RAM.
It has two drives:
1) Drive 1 = ATA Mac ROMmed 20gig w/ OS 10.2.6 on it
2) Drive 2 = SCSI fast/wide hosted by the "official" bootable Adaptec 2930
OEM card w/ OS 9.2.1 on it.

Off of drive 1:
OS X launches fine, all (both) drives mount fine, OS 9.2.1 recognized
successfully by Classic. If I choose the SCSI drive as the boot drive (in
the "startup drive" preference), and restart, I get:

Off of Drive 2:
OS 9.2.1 launches fine, but only the active drive 2 mounts: drive 1 is not
mounted. Drive Setup sees it, but cannot mount it.

This drive 1 remains unmounted (and unmountable) until I:
    a) shut down
    b) unplug the SCSI drive
    c) restart, forcing the Mac to go after OS X on drive 1
I can then shut down, replug drive 2 (SCSI), restart in OS X and reclaim
successful use of both drives.

What's up?

By the by, is there a startup keystroke that brings up a choice of bootup
drive options?

Thank you for the consideration.
Best regards,
Dana
