Peak will capture and record "streams" straight from Line In but lacks a timer as far as I know. Audio Hijack has a timer (but not to boot up your Mac) but to best of my knowledge only captures & records audio from an application.
If you are "really interested" in iTunes radio stations but aren't satisfied by the meager selection in iTunes and don't want to spend the time pinging your favorite sites/stations one by one you can use live365.com to search and stream thousands of stations into iTunes. Some stations don't play ball with Apple and require RealAudio or >gag< Windows Media Player. And Live365.com will charge ?15? bucks for 6 months if you want to listen (99%) comm'l free. I finally want for that option after trying the alternatives. And yeah - I have a buddy who works there. Tom Meade Pacific Palisades, Calif. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
