I have a G3 450. I bought the 450 cause I wanted the fastest version of the B&W. I am not disappointed in it. There is a problem with some of the G3s that support slave drives where the bus corrupts the drive. This was supposedly fixed in my ver of the G3, but I had that problem with my slave drives. I got around it by getting a PCI ATA controller card and have never looked back. See my sig block for full specs. I got it from an ISP in PA for $468 on ebay. It had no drives and the original SCSI card that was in it (it started life as a server) was MIA. I put my own drives in it.

I got some good info from these pages:

I'm looking to buy a blue & white G3 and was wondering what the
difference was between the rev. 1 and rev. 2 models. I've read that
rev. 2 is preferable, but why?

Thanks for any input.

Thanks,
