Hi Charles. Not sure what you mean by "not properly supporting its products," although I too would be unhappy if I couldn't get one of my DIMM slots to work. Why don't you call Apple and talk to 'em. If you don't have AppleCare, the machine's only a few days out of warranty. I've found Apple service people to be very reasonable. They may cut you a deal or fix it free. Can't hurt to call. John
