Hi Michael and all; The power cable is not the problem as the drive is spinning. On bootup the drive spins up,and keeps spinning and the Mac hangs at the gray screen. The drive never stops spinning unless I unplug the power, then the Mac will finish booting. It acts like it did when the termination jumper fell off, but they are both on the TP & TE pins. Is it possible that a bad Data cable would cause the same symptoms? If I can find the break in the cable, can the cable be cut or a connector be moved to bypass the break?
