I just picked up a new 160G HD for my beige. I am running 10.2.8. I have hooked it to an Acard ATA 133 card that is running my 80G boot HD fine. I formatted the disk with disk utility into 3 partitions, the first being 7.9G for OSX.

I have set the following preferences in Carbon Copy cloner:
Repair permissions before cloning
Delete directories before overwriting (can't hurt, even though the disk was just formatted)
Make bootable

When CCC finished cloning the HD (actually just one partition), I opened the system preferences and chose the startup disk pane. I then selected the cloned partition to start up from. When I start up with only the new disk attached, I get the blinking ? disk. When I start up with both disks attached and the new HD selected in the Startup Disk preference pane, it still starts up from the old HD.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
Len
