I'm having no end of trouble trying to get this Beige G3 to recognize both ide buses. It came with a single HD on bus 00 and a CD-ROM drive (master) and zip drive (slave) on bus 01. All I wanted to do was to add a slave HD to bus 00.

I've never been able to get it to recognize all 4 devices, and for some time now I can't get it to see bus 01 at all.

Can anyone point me to a primer on these issues? Or is there something like "oh you have to reset the CUDA when you change drive configurations"?

This is a G3 300 with ROM Rev. $77D.45F2 (the one that can have 2 HDs).

I appreciate any advice.

Joe
