Well, I just had the same problem - no computers showing up in the Chooser.
I was able to connect by enabling file sharing over TCP/IP and specifying the IP address of the host computer, but then the file transfer was REALLY slow.
I had a hunch, and rebuilt the desktops on both computers. This seems to have fixed the problem.
