After updating Jaguar to Panther then to 10.3.2 I can not get back to Panther
after booting to 9.2.2. I do get the black command screen. I do a "fsck -f",
which tells me all is well. "reboot" just gets me back to the same command
screen. I do a Norton disk check, booting from the Norton 9.2 CD and all is well
-- or fixed. Using the Panther CD the disk check indicates no permission or
any other errors. The only way I can get Panther back is by re-installing it.
This happened both times I booed into 9. Anyone have a better idea? I haven't
tried coming back from 9 with the current 10.3.0 installation, and I will try
that once I have the stomach for it.

I have a B&W G3/400 with stock UW2 SCSI (one volume, upon which reside both
OS's), 640 MB ram, 160 GB LaCie D2 firewire HD. Otherwise, performance is quite
good with either Jaguar or Panther. / David Watkins
