Right. I've got the 2.6GB single-sided disks *and* I've got my hands on a Type 2 (removable) cartridge. From what I've been told and read, all I needed to do was get the disk into the cartridge (done) and slip it into the drive.
No go. Nothing shows up on the desktop or in a window, though the drive light does light up (and stays lit up until I remove the disk). I've tried both sides of the disk (as they both seem pretty much the same). Quite frustrated. Any suggestions? Set up: G4(AGP) 500/Sys 10.2.8 System Profiler: CD-ROM/DVD-RAM Disc Burning - Fully supported Unit Number - 0 ATA Device Type - atapi Device Serial - Device Revision - A110 Product ID - PD-2 LF-D110 Vendor ID - MATSHITA .and yes, I've checked the various web sites to confirm that this drive only accepts 2.6GB single/5.2 dbl sided disks (Oh please don't tell me DVD-RAM isn't supported under OS X...) Guess that'll be my next test... -- Non Illegitimi Carborundum -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
