I have a stuck CD-ROM drive. I need to open the tray door. Tried the paper clip, tried holding down the mouse button on restart, and also tried holding the eject key on startup. I need to boot into open firmware, so I can eject the CD tray. I can't recall the procedure. Can someone post the directions for me.
Power off then use the paper clip. If that doesn't work, then you have a physical jam - getting into the firmware won't help you.
Some CD-ROM drives require a lot of pressure from that paper clip against the release flipper. Might help to remove the drive; better leverage.
