Okay Listers,

I've read extensivily on xl8r, and asked a few questions on the list
regarding my OEM LTR-40125S CDRW Drive.
So far the only way I can get the system to boot is to set the drive a
master and boot from a cd. If I don't have a cd in the drive the system
hangs on startup with just the grey screen and frozen mouse pointer..
I've tried setting my main hd (Quatum Fireball) as the only master and
the CDRW and second harddrive (WD) to slaves.. No dice.. I kept the same hd
as master and set the other two to cable select.. Still nothing..
I've even put both hd's on one bus and the cdrw by it's self on the
other to no avail.. I've looked on the internet for the elusive firmware
update and have not yet been able to find it.. I'm about ready to give up on
this dang thing! Any suggestion?

TIA,
