is there any application out there, for os 9 or X, that can create an index of
removable
media the way sherlock does for hard drives? i.e. something that will let you search
for
words etc. on cds, including those already burnt (and hence not possible to add an
index
to), something that can maintain such an index on a hard drive like many applications
let
you keep a catalog of all your' removable media on the hard drive, but with indexing?
thanks.

if not, would any one be interested in such an application (if i wrote one, which
wouldn't
be any time soon but i'm looking for programing projects, especially shareware etc.
that
people might actually pay for). obviously i'm also looking for any such application
for
my own use if it already exist.
