I just got my QuickSilver...what a beautiful machine. Anyway, I had
purchased a 21" monitor several weeks ago, assuming it would just plug in,
wrong. The QS has what looks like a normal VGA connector as well as some
kind of connector I've never seen. The monitor has a large 15 pin connector

you didn't happen to purchase a Sun monitor, did you? They have fairly large 13 pin connectors, with 3 very large coax-type pins at each end of the connector (10 small pins between them). I only ask because I'm more than well aware of the cost effectiveness of these monitors, which are often fixed frequency. You can, however, find Sun -> VGA adapters, which make these a *great* value.

Speaking of, I'm so proud of my little bleu. Check this out: http://bleu.damaged.net/~buzzcut/pictures/MyDesk.jpg
