I've been "lurking" on the list and have enjoyed reading all the posts..... I have learned so much about my mac and I thank all for sharing their knowlege. I have a B+W 450mHz G3 running OS 9 with a DVD player and would like to replace it with a DVD burner. I also want to upgrade to OS X and use iMovie/iDVD/iTunes. To accomplish this - is it as simple as buying a panasonic 106 drive, yanking out the old DVD player and putting the superdrive in it's place? What are the pitfalls I need to look out for? I would assume after the drive is in place, I would then do a clean install of OS X? Or should I install the OS first?
Any help on the matter would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. -Chip Howat -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
