Guys, Just monted a HP CD-RW 8100 in my Beige running 9.2.2 and while the thing works nicely as a CD drive I'm suffering two irritating problems.
1st: I had to remove the "CD front" part of the casing to stop the drive from opening and closing by it self every other minute. Unless I�ve been in invaded by poltergiests this seem like a mechanical problem with the eject button. Does anyone has any clever advice on how to avoid this? 2nd: The System Info bluntly states that burning CD's is "not supported" for this drive. Yet someone on this list said he unsed on of these drives a week back. What can be wrong?
