Similar issues with my PowerLogix G3 900 ZIF. Manual says to use it's "CPU director" s/w for true Mhz speed. CPU Director says 900. ASP says 850.

I don't know if anyone has any experiences regarding L2 cache and OS X. I use Powerlogix CPU Director 1.3F on my upgraded machines to ensure it is enabled at startup, however i was under the impression this was not necessary with G4s. I know System Profiler reads my cache OK regardless, but it can't tell what CPU I have (even thought the 'About this Mac...' panel clearly shows it's a G4).

I know that, with an upgraded processor, you get different information from System profiler in OSX and OS9 - maybe between the two you get the full picture?
