In days gone by, I recall attempting to copy an entire drive with OS 9 to another drive. The problem comes if you are running off the drive you are trying to copy while copying it. Eventually, the copy process will get to a file that is being used by the system and the process will fail.

Listers,
I just prepped up a G3 AIO and put a 40 gig drive into it. I
zero'd it and made three partitions, 5, 10, 25 gig. I'm installing OS 9.1
onto the 5 gig partition. Question: if I get them AIO on my LAN and just
drop the icon for the Hard drive (single volume) a machine that is on the
LAN, in this case and iMac dv, will it copy the whole thing over, and will
there be issues re File Sharing and so forth?
