I am going to forgo a CD burning partition. For the time being I am going to use a dedicated CD burning folder and then transfer it to a vertural partition a la Toast. Which reminds me, I don't think that I have a copy of Toast, or any other CD burning app. Where do I get > that?
Be aware that in OS 9 and earlier, if you don't have a small 650 meg partition to burn CDs from, you will lose your comment fields, the comments are stored in the desktop dbase and the only way to get that onto a CD is to make a 650ish meg partition, and burn all your CDs from data stored there. If you burn from your main HD, the desktop info stays on the main hard drive, and thus the comments get left behind and are not put on the CD-R.
Maybe you care, maybe you don't. The last time I had valuable info in the comment field was back when Napster was running (the first time I guess) and it stored lots of info in the comments.
