Folks,

I can't recall what all has been said on the subject, but I know that I, as well as several others had trouble with the 10.2.8 upgrade (but apparently not everyone had problems). The most noticeable problems were the monitor screen going black and permissions corruption.

I ended up going back to 10.2.6 and everything seems to be alright. What I'm wondering now is if anyone definitively identified this "problem" with 10.2.8. I think I left off on some people saying it had to do with the video and some saying it had to do with energy saving settings.

For those who had this problem, was it only a beige G3 problem or did other machines have it?

The reason I'm trying to track it down is because I'm trying to decide whether or not to go up to 10.2.8 in my kids' iMac (G3, 500MHz, blue all-in-one). I know it didn't work on my beige G3 rev 2 but I don't know about the iMac.

Does anyone know?

Thanks,
Anastasia
