This should not be a big deal, what is the real way to approach it?
Well, despite the partition being present and repaired and seemingly fine, any attempt to boot from it locks up the computer and I have to pull the thing off of the bus (well just pull the power connector), boot from CD again, reinstall onto the other partition, etc. etc. I give up. I'm going to leave the new clean install as default.
How can I migrate all my email from the other partition to the one with the good boot folder? I've been using the Mail client only.
Other files to migrate besides mail? web bookmarks, things like that I guess.
I've never had a Classic mac or a Windows box do this to me. I guess I'll get that DVD-R for backups, they seem essential.
