As far as booting from OSX when in OS 9.2.2, download XPostFacto 3.0a11 and keep the icon on your desktop. Whenever you are in OS 9.2.2 and want to go to OS10.2.8 just click on the icon and it will take you there.

I now have both the OS 9.2.2 drive and the OSX drive hooked to the primary IDE cable and it will boot from the X drive just fine. I still don't know how to do the selective update, only choice I see when the updater runs is 10.2.8. Also, if I go to System Preferences and change the startup disk to the OS 9.2.2 drive, how do I get it to boot from the OSX drive again? Will it appear as a choice then under startup disk in 9.2.2?
