i'm using 1.2.1 right now, because i'm temporarily using os 8.6 (the g4 i normally use
has
been temporarily out of service, as i modify the case for an external drive, which i
haven't finished yet, stupid back problems). on the g4 i was using netscape 4.75 or
4.76,
and had no problems except with sites that had "inline frames" which apparently it
doesn't
render at all. actually, there are a lot of differences between mozilla and netscape,
at
least as far as the preferences available, i like the set offered in mozilla much
better
(though i did look at the file once and there do seem to be a lot of things in netscape
you could set by editing in a hex editor, if one wanted to play). i've also used opera
etc., i've even had more than one browser running at a time (in fact i'm still using
netscape for email now, just because it works, though i'm looking for something free
that's good for multiple email accounts eventually). actually, i'm using a 9500, but i
just haven't tried os 9 or x on it yet, 8.6 is fine and i prefer speed to flash, even
on a g4.
