In all fairness to me, I was talking mainly of the overall customer base who are PC users... Mac users who don't like MS or IE ran for the hills to get any other browser we could get our hands on. My security blanket was Camino. It's a great all around browser, but the bookmark organization leaves much to be desired. Now that I'm running 10.3 I use Safari, but it still has some issues with sites heavy in Java.

Mac users, generally, will use what ever browser is "default" on the system. Whether it's IE or Safari really isn't important to 90% of the Mac users (according to my very scientific survey). The folks on this list are the other 10%. We are picky since we know better... ;)

At my cable company we are supporting Safari (even with all it's issues). That includes coding the company's main site to work in IE and Safari (an act that most places wouldn't bother to do). We also offer a home wireless setup. We actually changed the wireless device (from linksys to netgear) because some of the features of the linksys device do not work with the Mac. I think that is very cool and progressive thinking.

I have to ask:

How can anyone use MSIE? I've been using Opera/Win
and Netscape/Mac for something like 2 years; now when
I use MSIE (usually to access the corporate intranet)I
can't find anything good to say about it. I love
Opera's mouse gestures and the different search bars,
and the speed and tabs in both Opera and Netscape. And
I don't miss the constant MS security patches.

Enlighten me!

Thanks,

Glenn
