Hi all, Bought from Ebay a new LG 4480B (48x24x48x + 16x DVD-ROM) CDRW/DVD.
The drive is seen by the Apple System profiler as DVD-ROM CDRW. The drive is connected to the local IDE bus. It burns, it boots but it don't play DVD's. By start of the Apple DVD Player it tells me: Apple DVD Player cannot open because the required hardware was not found. If you have another application open that uses sound or video, quit that application and open Apple DVD Player again. Got already help from this site (thanks Simon) and the info in http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/ that others use this drive without any problems, I found in "Accelerate your Mac" several B&W G3 users very happy with this drive and everything works without installing additional drivers. Any ideas? Franz Bangkok B&W upgrade G4/450 544MB RAM Acard 133 ATA controller, dual -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
