You never mentioned what kind of graphics card you are using i.e. ATI Rage 128, ATI Radeon, 3dfx Voodoo, etc. In order to play DVD's your graphics card needs to be able to decode the DVD signal. The ATI Radeons have this built-in, BUT the ATI Rage 128 that came standard with all B&W 's needs to have a daughter card installed on it for DVD capabilities. Check to see which card you are using and if you are using the original Rage 128 then check to see if it has the daughter card installed on it. The daughter card looks like a square circuit board that's about 1/2 the size of the graphics card.
