Emergency please read! HELP!!!!!!!

I had taken about an hour to make an email in AOL.  Stepped out of the 
computer a few times, as I launched a webpage in AOL. it froze with 
spinning colorful beach-ball.

Is there any program that can recover unsaved text from frozen 
applications?  Anything I can do to recover the message that had about 
12 links, and its going to take hours to recover?
