Hello,

I am getting a Pioneer DVR-107 and I own a Panasonic Home Theater.

In which format should I burn my own DVD's + or - ? Can I add "sessions" to a DVD
that I burned of home movies, or do I have to burn it all at one time.

DVD-R is the only format supported on the Mac and is more compatible with most DVD players, and like CD's it's a single session.

Be aware you've got to have iLife with iDVD to make a playable DVD or some other software for authoring the DVD's; you can't just dump the video to the disk and play it.

DVD-RW = DVD rewriteable DVD-R = Writeable

This is like CD-R and CD-RW??

Precisely.

Better to ger DVD-RW due to flexibility?

If your player plays 'em. Buy one (for which you'll pay through the nose) and test it. If it works, this is the way to go.
