Kyle:

It was the Rage 128 video card. Removed the Rage 128, inserted a Twin Turbo, reset cuda, restarted, zapped pram and all is good in the world, again. Thanks so much, it was driving me crazy.

Regards,
Mark

Hello listers, I could use some help with this problem:

B&W G3 350Mhz, 1GB ram (switched out ram), 120GB WD HD (tried a Maxtor
120GB also), Sony CDRW.

I have reinstalled OS 10.2.3 (also tried 10.2.1), after a restart the
grey screen w/apple comes up for a few seconds and then I get pixels
running horizontally midway down across the screen, and the computer
freezes. If I start-up in Safe Boot mode it runs like a charm. I have
run repair permissions and it states it has repaired quite a few, even
running repair a few times gets the same results.

If the "pixels" look like a banding with tight black and white vertical
lines that are about 2 inches high running across the middle of the screen
then it's an Nvidia/Radeon Video Card issue.
