Rubbing alcohol is mostly water. Kathi Kathi and Bruce, Mail polish remover (the acetone kind) will destroy any plastic parts in that printer or any other item made from any sort or kind of plastic, plumbers use acetone to weld (glue) plastic water pipes to each other.
