Apple Flat Panel Monitor hook up?

I am receiving a AGP G4 PowerMac and need to connect a monitor. I see 
quite a few nice Apple branded flat panel displays that are connected 
by a single wire to the computer(ADC connection). Can I use this type 
of monitor or do I need a converter/ adaptor?
