It will allow you to use most "PC" burners (CD and DVD) with the iApps. I'm currently using an LG 4041B DVD burner on my B&W running Jaguar. I used Patchburn 1.1 to get the iApps to recognize my burner.
BTW anyone know how to properly use Sizzle for creating DVD's? I've been to most of the sites that give a good explanation on how to use Sizzle but for some reason my discs are coming up screwy. When I create the DVD I get the background and the menu buttons BUT my movie seems to be playing BEHIND a black background. I can almost see the images but it's like looking through a black fog. The sound is fine. I used iMovie to create the movie and then I exported it as DV format. It comes out as an AVI file. I then use Quicktime to convert it to mpeg. It plays fine on it's own but Sizzle seems to screw it up. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
