glad this conversation started..i have a cannon dv that i got specifically because i could convert my old 8mm (as well as vhs) onto dv but...i have no idea how to get it from the dv camera onto the computer-- niether my g3 or my imac seem to recognize the camera when plugged in i feel kinda stupid about that and wanted to figure it out myself instead of asking...oh well!
