What would you suggest as a replacement for MacPaint and MacDraw for use with Panther?

I have a lot of old but useful stuff created in these applications and have moved to a new Mac e/w Panther and still need something similarly creative. Photoshop is too expensive for me and probably too sophisticated.

Thanks.

Have you thought about using Appleworks?
It comes bundled with some new Macs and besides, you get word processing and spreadsheet
applications. Plus converting your old MacPaint and MacDraw files may not be a problem since it
comes from Apple.
Good luck.
