FYI, the B&W was the first Mac with a 100Mhz system bus, but I digress...

Thomas, I'd say a Beige G3 would be the minimum you should be looking at.
They can be had for dirt-cheap on eBay and offer good upgrade options (up to
1Ghz upgrades). They will allow your brother to plug in all his old
peripherals and newer ones via PCI slots.
