Hi there. A while back I asked about installing an internal CD-RW drive inLast week, I managed to install a Sony 52x32x52 CD-R/RW in my G3/333/MT.
my B&W G3/rev2/400/9.1/385mb. It occurs to me that it might be simpler to
get an external one. Both USB ports are in use so I assume I would have to
go with Firewire. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to external over
internal, or Firewire over other options I might have? (Price, speed,
reliability, etc.) I have absolutely no experience with Firewire. I also
don't need two drives, so in that sense I guess I'd prefer internal, but as
usual am open to suggestions, opinions, offers of a time-share, etc.

It was so easy I surprised myself. Being a typical Mac user, I don't like to read manuals
and I jumped right in. This drive is highly recommended. It is about 1" shorter than many others of this type,
and I think that's what made it easy for people like me.
