Does it boot a MacOS CD? That's what I want to know.
Yes it does.
Also, is it recognized under the built in CD-burning services and iTunes?
For CD burning, I use Toast Lite under OS 9.x.
For music, I use my main Mac - a G4 tower - so I really can't tell you if iTunes will work with this drive.
I don't see why not.
