Balky G3 Beige

Still having problems with this G3 Beige MT with 768 mb ram. I am now 
able to boot up in 10.2.8 using XpostFacto. Thanks again folks. Now, my 
computer is getting really slow. Also, a few days ago the screen went 
funny with several lines of bar codes (that is what they looked like) 
and shifting colours on the right side of the screen.  There were about 
3 or 4 lines of these bar codes. Tonight the computer just shut down. 
The monitor light stayed green for about 2 seconds then went orange. 
This has happened several times in the past also.
First of all, do these symptoms indicate a hardware problem or software.
How can I diagnose the symptoms? What's going on. I have replaced just 
about everything in the computer except for the case and just finished 
running Disk Utilities, Disk Warrior and TechTool Pro 4. All was OK 
(after a few repairs)
