The author of that page shows an example of the profile he made for the 
348B, but it doesn't seem to support burning in the Finder and with iTunes.

Also at the German link below someone says he's got the 348B and got 
this drive fully functional with System Profiler, iTunes und iPhoto by 
using PatchBurn.

Try fixing permissions before using PatchBurn which seems to 'fix' something
