I'm right on the verge of putting a brick through this monitor.

The iMac install CD once again brings up the OS-X install screen, and once again installs X, but suddenly there is a box asking for my name and password. Where did that come from? Okay, I gave the thing my name and the password I gave it on the last installation. No dice, it shakes them off. I try every name and pasword I've ever used on a computer, and it shakes them all off. The only alternative it offers is a shutdown.

Where's a brick . . . .
