I've been following this thread and I find it rather bizarre that a Mac
enthusiast has become so frustrated that he's ready to throw a brick through his
machine. Actually I find this rather absurd. As a Mac user I have numerous Macs
and I've had my share of freezes and crashes but I've never become so upset
that I wanted to destroy them. I am preparing to try OS X am I have been
slowing trying to upgrade my PowerMac G3 DT running OS 9.2.2 with 320 mb of ram/a
4gig harddrive/a USB card and a Firewire card. Now having done some reading
before hand I know some of these cards may not work, so I am prepared to forego
them if necessary. But the think I wanted to say is that I have prepared myself
for any eventuality. After all I am going to try to run this new system on
antiquated equipment. Granted the gentleman who made the post has a reasonable
expectation for Mac OS X to run on his G4 but these machines and Operating
systems are not perfect so he should also have an expectation that things might go
wrong.
