I have a Microtek ScanMaker V6USL and it works like a charm on OSX in SCSI mode. I'm using a Grappler 906F Fast SCSI card with 3 other devices on the chain. I actually find it more reliable in SCSI mode than USB when using VueScan. Check with Ed Hamrick or check out the scanner news groups.. He posts there plenty.

Hope that helps

Subject: Re: SCSI Scanner problem

To the best of my knowledge, VueScan does not work in OS X with SCSI
scanners. It won't even work with my USB Umax 1220U because,
according to the VueScan website, the 1220U is really a SCSI with an
internal SCSI-USB adapter.

SCSI is *NOT* magic. There are *fundamental technical
reasons* why it is necessary to sacrifice a young goat
to your SCSI chain now and then.
