The above quote comes from a different subject. I have been unable to
get sound in to work in OS X. I have a G3-AIO with the AV (Wings) card
installed. The computer is hooked to my stereo system using the RCA
jacks on the card and is hooked to the stereo as a tape deck.

In OS 9 this arrangement works well. I can send sound from the AIO to
the stereo and can record music from the phonograph and tape deck. In
OS X all that works is the sound out, so while I can listen to sound
from the computer, I am unable to record anything from the stereo.
Sound in on the RCA jacks anyway does not seem to work.

If this is a matter of setting the sound preferences correctly, I would
appreciate any pointers in getting this set so it works.

thanks
bill
