Ok I have no idea if this has been asked before so here I go.
I had to get a 60GB HD in an emergency do to a weird situation. I had to
service a G3/233 system which 4GB went bad. I gave the person the 8GB drive
that came in the mail for my friend so we could install X on his g3/300
beige. Well I gave the customer the 8GB drive that came in, so I picked up a
60GB Maxtor from staples on sale for $50! so what I want to do I dont like
but it beats me buying another 8GB for my friend. I want to take all the
data off my 40GB and put it on the 60GB, that I feel I can do with out to
much trouble, BUT I have to partition the 40GB with a 8GB partition in the
beginning of the drive I know, HOW do I transfer everything from my 8GB to
the 8GB partition with out having to reinstall the OSX! I DO NOT want to
reinstall the OS and my software, big no no on that, classic made drive
transfer easy X makes it a pain in the rear! any help would be appreciated.
