I'm now using Adobe Acrobat 6 for pre-press production, so I need to have total control over all PDF settings---specifically, I have to be able to custom configure the Acrobat Distiller color offset web output. This was easy in OS 9... Not so in OSX, I've found. All the native OSX applications have PDF options built into them, but I can't access the Distiller settings... For that matter, I can't even find Distiller under OSX. What's the secret for customizing Distiller (or equivalent) options
with Panther??
OS X includes the ability to "print" to PDF but it is not Acrobat per se. You could call it Apple's "Acrobat Lite". To get the control you seek you need to install Acrobat. If you have Acrobat 6 then install that, it is OS X native.
